Peacefully on March 13 at Scarborough General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by her husband, Donald Sangster, and her sister, Martha Burns (Alfred). Survived by children Don (Susan) and Vicky Sangster, and her beloved grandson Kyle.
As a young woman, Gabriella became the first female movie theatre manager in Toronto. Once married, she was a Hungarian and German court interpreter for many years. Later in life, Gabriella made her living and supported her family making and selling a variety of crafts, including jewellery. But her real passion was her family. Nothing made her happier than being with and spending time with her children and grandson.
Visitation will be at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 4115 Lawrence Ave. E. in Scarborough on Sunday, March 20 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a short service in the Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00pm.
