Norman and Brianna, my deepest condolences to you both.  My thoughts are with you during this very tough time.  I am so glad I was able to watch the beautiful service.  Jean was a beautiful person inside and out and I loved that we stayed connected after mom, her bingo partner,  passed away.  We shared so many wonderful memories of our two families and our news of family when we got together and had Swiss Chalet, tea and dessert.

I know how tough it has been on you both losing your mum/grandmother.  Jean was truly a one-of-a-kind and she will surely be missed.  But she's finally at peace now and with your dad/granddad as well as my parents, and I am sure they are having a very happy reunion.  Do not trouble yourself at her passing.  You will see her again. 

For me, I will miss her Christmas turkey feasts as they were absolutely legendary as were her delicious desserts.  I will miss her laughter and shared  stories around the dinner table when we would drop in for a visit.

These next few days and weeks will be rough but remember you have family and friends to lean upon.   We are here for you both.

We are so sorry to hear of Aunt Jean's passing. She will be sorely missed. What a wonderful woman she was! My favourite story of her was when she was travelling out west with us and one of us kids slept walked and forced her to sleep with a broom!

Norm & Brianna - sending you both a big hug during this really difficult time. Hold tight to the memories and shed the tears when you feel them. Ms. Jean fought a tough battle with complete dignity and determination. Rest a little easier knowing that she no longer has to fight, she is finally at peace.  Ms. Jean was an amazing neighbour. She always had a smile on her face when waving at me as I drove by while she was sitting under the tree on her front lawn. My dad still talks about his "tea and conversation" get togethers with Ms. Jean under the tree. I know my mom will have met her upon her arrival to give her a big hug and had a cup of tea waiting for her.  Rest in peace Ms. Jean, we all are better people for having had you in our lives.

Norman, Brianna and Uncle Walter, my thoughts and prayers are with you all as you grieve the loss of your mother, grandmother and sister.  While there is much gratitude in Aunt Jean's long life, there's also much sadness in seeing it come to a close. She was such a loving, kind and wise woman and certainly one of great faith.  Aunt Jean met each situation and challenge in her life with determination and courage, always seeking the way forward with hope and peace. She was my 'namesake,' but most importantly she was my Aunt Jean,  my friend. I shall miss her handwritten cards and notes and our long telephone chats. I would often tell her that she was 'the corporate memory' for the family. She was such a wonderful storyteller and her attention to detail was remarkable. I loved hearing the stories of her younger years, particularly as they gave me greater insight into my own mother who died quite young.  Rest in peace Aunt Jean and rise with the angels.  The essence of your spirit is indelibly etched upon our hearts and our memories.

To Norman, Brianna and  Uncle Walter  our thoughts are with you all at this very difficult time. You were blessed with the love of a beautiful Mom, Grandma, Sister like no other. Our Aunt Jean was such a loving and kind soul, smart, wise in every way with  a dry wit that always made us smile! Through much adversity in  life, she faced her challenges head on with a strong sense of realism, practicality, and an endless  measure of hope,  underscored always with great dignity! We’ll miss her phone chats, cards and letters. But most of all we’ll miss the reassurance she always gave and the story telling of days gone by…Oooo the stories! May we all find a way to move forward as she would expect holding out a hand for each other and taking extra good care of ourselves. Without question she will continue to provide direction only now from a distance. We’ll be listening very closely to the universe. Aunt Jean you will never be forgotten.
