Marty was the proud father to Connor, Gavin, and Ainsley and a devoted son to Catherine (nee Harrington) and Christopher (predeceased) as well as a cherished brother to Christopher (Margaret), Angela (Sean Quartermain) and Mark (Karen).
Marty, along with his twin brother Chris, was born in London, England on March 5, 1967 where he lived until he was three years old. In 1970, his Irish born parents decided to move the family to Canada and settled in Scarborough where he enjoyed growing up in a close-knit family. He attended Neil McNeil High School where he was fortunate to cross paths with some amazing individuals. His group of “Neil Boys” remained a vital part of his life over the last 40 years and became his second family.
Marty was extremely generous with his time and was always more than happy to stop whatever he was doing to help anyone he could or to simply have a chat. He loved keeping busy with projects around the house and was often called upon by friends and family to put his skills to work building or fixing something that was needed. Although Marty faced some medical obstacles over the past number of years, he was able to keep a positive attitude and outlook throughout.
He will be very much missed by his nieces and nephews in Canada as well as his aunts, uncles and many cousins in Canada, England and Ireland.
