Mary Ann Hainey

In her 81st year, during the wee hours of Tuesday, July 12, 2016 passed away in her home surrounded by family. Beloved wife of John Hainey, husband of 61 years. Loving mother to Colin (predeceased), Mary Ann, Isabel (Art), John (Tammy) and Michael. Adored grandmother of Taylor, Emily, Colin, Patrick, Isabella, Mackenzie and Michelle. Predeceased by parents Mary Ann McGaffney, George Doolan, brother Tom and sister-in-law Ailsa (predeceased).. Survived by brothers James (Linda). John (Maureen), George (Betty) and Lawrence (Rosemary) Doolan, brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert (Jeanette), Susan (Harold - predeceased), Colin (Joyce), Linda (Andy), Lawrence (Sheila) and Ronald (Jane). Predeceased by parents Mary Ann McGaffrey & George Doolan, brother Tom and sister-in-law Ailsa. She will be sorely missed by a "clan" of nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews scattered across the globe. She was adored by everyone who knew her, a great heart, a kind word for all - our hearts are breaking. There is a new star in the heavens today - she will shine on.

Visitation will take place at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 4115 Lawrence Avenue E. , Scarborough, ON (just west of Kingston Rd.) on Monday, July 18, 2016 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 21 Markanna Drive, Scarborough, On Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 11:00 am.
