Patricia Frances Dover

DOVER, Patricia Frances Age 88, passed away peacefully after a long illness with Alzheimer's on September 21, 2024 at Extendicare. Born in Toronto, Ontario on September 16, 1936, she was the daughter of the late (Leonard and Theresa Heslop).

Pat, a Pioneer of Bell Canada, retired in 1991, after 39 years of dedicated service having had a successful career. Pat went on to do volunteer work as a receptionist for more than 15 years giving her time to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Pat was an all-around loving person that valued her time with her family as well as her friends. Knitting took on a phase of its own and she always had a special place in her heart for her cats through the years. Pat is survived by her husband and, devoted caregiver Charles Dover; step- daughter Pamela White, Oshawa, step- son Paul Dover (Sandra), Scarborough, 4 step- grandchildren, and niece Anne [Graham] Edwards, St Marys, great nieces, great great nieces and, great great nephews. Pat was predeceased by brother Norman Heslop.

The Family would like to thank all those involved at Extendicare for her continuing care during her stay.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, West Hill. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place Giffen- Mack’s funeral home, 4115 Lawrence Ave E. West Hill on Monday, October 7 at 1:00pm. {Priest name} officiating.

Family and close friends only.

A private burial will take place at a later date yet to be determined.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada or any charity of choice.
