She is survived by and dearly missed by her brother, Terry Robinson and wife, Linda Robinson, her in-laws, brother Paul Merrimen and wife, Darla Merrimen, brother Robert Merrimen and partner, Dawn Cummings, sister Gwen Webb and husband, Roger Webb and dearest friend, Elizabeth (Beth) Claire.
Patricia was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 14, 1939 to father, Jack Robinson and mother, Theresa Rae, who were native to Winnipeg. The family relocated to New Toronto when Patricia was about age 5. She excelled at her studies throughout her school years with a strong passion for languages, English, Latin, and French. Just recently she could recite poems she memorized in high school with clarity and conviction. She was a very sociable lady and loved to be surrounded by people. Patricia enjoyed intelligent conversation with all walks of life. During her younger days, she loved music and dancing, but most of all laughing with her friends. Many of those friendships she kept for her entire lifetime. She loved and cherished each one of them.
After attending Ryerson University, Patricia obtained a position with the Department of Health as a Laboratory Technician. During the start of her career, she met a handsome Air Force gentleman named Fred Merrimen. In October of 1960, Patricia and Fred were married and began their journey together. They explored this country as newlyweds living on several different Air Force bases. When they decided to settle down, they chose their perfect house in Scarborough. They raised their 2 children, Mark, and Tobin, there and have remained there all along.
Patricia loved to travel to new places and meet new people. Her husband Fred and she travelled to many places over the years together and would enjoy the annual drive to Florida each spring. She loved the sunshine, the warmth, and the endless blossoms of spring flowers.
Patricia was a loving wife, mother, sister, friend to everyone she encountered. Her life touched many and was far reaching. She will be missed by many but never forgotten.
