William “Bill” Philip Scott passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Born in England on May 24, 1953 to Walter and Nora Scott. He came to Canada at the age of four with his parents and brother Michael John Scott. Bill lived in Toronto his whole life since. Always the life of the party in his younger days. He made many memories with his best friends Albert and Dave which were the source for endless stories told throughout his life. Through the years he worked at Dr. Ballard’s, The Inn On The Park, The Southampton Princess Hotel in Bermuda, Lily Cups (where he met his wife) and O’Shanter Development. All of these places lent a hand in providing Bill with infinite tales to tell about interesting characters he met. At age of 28 he met his wife Barbara who he married on April 13, 1985. They were together every day since and he loved her right up to the end. Bill is survived by his loving wife Barbara, children William (his wife Marsha), Alexander (wife Inge), Stephanie, and his grandchildren Ashleigh, Hannah, Hayleigh, Sadie, and Charleigh, and his great grandson Myles.
Bill was an intelligent man who loved information, problem solving, and researching anything that peeked his interest. A gifted conversationalist, funny, quick-whitted and charming. He liked watching and discussing sports and current events. He loved blues music and anything with a great guitar solo. Bill would always find new restaurants to take Barb to every Friday so he could try new, strange foods.
An animal lover and dog enthusiast, who enjoyed his walks in the park with his four-legged companions. Bill was always kind and compassionate to others and a complete pushover for anything his granddaughters requested.
Bill is loved and will be very much missed by many.
