

Albert Casper Oster, a devoted family man with a lifelong commitment to his work and his passions, passed away peacefully in West Palm Beach, Florida, at 93. Born in Baltimore in 1930, Bert, as he was affectionately known, lived a life rich in love and adventure.
In 1951, Bert married the love of his life, Ann Hartman, and together, they embarked on a remarkable 72-year journey filled with love, joy, and a shared commitment to their family. Their union bore three wonderful sons, Michael, Gary, and Scott, continuing to honor his legacy.
Throughout his life, Bert dedicated six decades of hard work to two distinguished organizations. He contributed his skills and expertise as a Civil Engineer to the Maryland State Highway Administration and later served as the Chief Framer for the Ocean Gallery. His professional dedication and work ethic were second to none, leaving an indelible mark in both fields.
In his leisure time, Bert avidly loves inshore saltwater fishing and boating. He and Ann shared countless adventures on the open water, creating memories that will forever be cherished. Additionally, Bert was passionate about bicycle riding, often pedaling alongside Ann, with whom he shared countless miles and stories.
In his younger years, Bert found joy in coaching his sons' baseball teams, instilling values of teamwork and camaraderie in future generations. His commitment to shaping not only his own family but also the youth of his community was commendable.
After residing in Ferndale, Maryland, for 25 years, Bert and Ann embarked on a new chapter, retiring to Ocean City/Berlin, Maryland, where they spent 31 wonderful years. Their picturesque seaside abode became a gathering place for their growing family and a haven for all. In time, Bert and Ann relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida, to be closer to their beloved family members, demonstrating their unwavering dedication to those they loved.
Albert Casper Oster leaves a legacy of love and devotion that will endure through the ages. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Ann, his three sons and their wives, seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry forward the spirit of this remarkable man.
Bert's memory will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew him. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
