(April 4, 1934 – June 11, 2025)
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Ann Elizabeth Oster, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wife, who departed peacefully on June 11, 2025, in West Palm Beach, Florida at 91.
Born in Baltimore on April 4, 1934, she married the love of her life, Albert “Bert” Casper Oster, on February 25, 1950. Their marriage—anchored in love, mutual respect, and shared adventure—lasted an extraordinary 73 years until Bert’s passing October 19, 2023. Together, they raised three devoted sons—Michael Lee, Gary Albert, and Scott William—and fostered a warm, generous home that wholeheartedly embraced daughters-in-law and grandchildren.
A Loving Mother & Cherished Family Matriarch
Endlessly energetic and positive, Mom was affectionately nicknamed “Ralf” by her kids. This playful identity reflected her willingness to be both mom and playmate—shooting hoops, riding bikes, and throwing the ball around with kids in the neighborhood. She was vibrant and loved sharing laughter, joy, and famous home-cooked meals. Mom’s famous Fudgy Marble cake—moist, chocolaty, and unforgettable—earned an Honorable Mention in the Duncan Hines National Baking Competition and became a family legacy, reminding everyone of her creative spirit and love for bringing people together.
A Grandmother at Heart
As grandchildren came along, Mom found her happiest role. She rollerbladed with them, played board games and card games, and made every moment a celebration. She loved her grandkids fiercely, always youthful at heart, turning ordinary afternoons into lifelong memories.
A Life Well Lived
Mom supported her sons and their wives with unwavering love. She stood by them through school days, weddings, births, and milestones, always knitting the family closer. She and Bert were a team in every sense—partners in marriage, parenting, faith, adventure, travel, and life. Their long, shared journey shaped a family rooted in kindness, resilience, laughter, and love. We are forever blessed having her as our Mom, and we are full of gratitude for every moment we shared.
