Anthony Steve Adorno

Anthony (Tony) Steve Adorno, age 55, of Loxahatchee, Florida passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, March 2, 2024 after a long, hard fought battle with ALS. He is the beloved Son of Lillian Adorno and Obed Adorno, Brother to Julia Washington and Joseph Adorno, Uncle to Corey, Alex and Lilly Washington, Abdel Casillas-Adorno and Michael Rosa-Adorno. He was married to the love of his life Theresa (Terry) Adorno for 34 years and has 3 children, Angeleigh Heine, husband Spencer Heine, Alexis Rowley, husband Nicholas Rowley and TJ Adorno, fiancé Raquel Chapuis and 5 Grandchildren, Spencer, Shayne, and Skyler Heine, Raelynn and Barrett Rowley.

Tony was originally from New York but grew up and went to school in Phoenixville, PA. He has some college from Rutgers University and some college courses from Palm Beach State College. Tony and Terry moved to South Florida in 1991.

Tony was a very active man, who loved his family and friends. He owned and operated a very successful pressure cleaning business for over 20 years and never complained once about his job. He loved being outdoors and always had a great tan. He loved to hunt and fish. If you've ever been to the Adorno's home, you'd see the results on the walls as you walk in the front door.

One of Tony’s best attributes and he was very proud of was being “Coach Tony.” He coached kids from T-ball on up with TJ and he loved it. Even when he wasn’t coaching, he was at every game and practice with TJ. He also loved going to Angie and Lexi’s flag football games. He even drove our camper all the way to Cooperstown and back when TJ was 12. It was a dream of his to pick a little league team competing in the Little League World Series and take a trip to Williamsport, PA to support that team.

Tony put a lot of pride into his home and yard, you can see that by all his fruit trees and well-manicured lawn. Tony was a huge jokester and he loved a good nap. He loved taking the family on vacations and camping at Disney‘s Fort Wilderness and Red Coconut in Fort Myers Beach. Tony was big fan of all music, but mostly Rock N Roll, especially Van Halen. He would test his kids as to what Van Halen song was playing on the radio. Tony was a huge foodie, he loved going out to new places and trying new food. He especially loved his mother’s cooking and really missed it when he got sick.

If you asked him his favorite thing to do, it was spending time with his family especially when he became Papi. His grandchildren were such a joy to him, even through his illness. He loved seeing them even though he couldn't play with them like he wanted. He penned the name of his favorite cookies for the grandchildren as “Papi Cookies” aka (Vienna Fingers). He even named our weekly breakfast as "I-Papis” instead of IHOP which we went to a lot when he was well.

He was a wonderful son to his mom and dad, an adored husband to Terry, and a great father to our children and grandfather to his grandchildren. He was and is loved by so many. He will be missed greatly but we are all blessed to have known and loved him. We all know that he is now free and he is safe with the Lord. He loved and lived his best life and we are all blessed to have had him in our lives.
