Aude Marothiere, born on October 8, 1947, in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, at l’Universitaire de d’Ètat d’Haïti. He was the beloved son of Salma Mahotiere and Lufaute Auguste. He was married to Marie Pierre Louis, his devoted wife and lifelong partner, with whom he shared a beautiful journey marked by love, perseverance, and faith.
Aude began his education at École Nationale Anacaona de Léogâne and completed his secondary studies at Lycée Toussaint Louverture Ville de Port-au-Prince, graduating in 1965. Intelligent, ambitious, and driven, he entered the business world at a young age. At only 22 years old, he became part-owner of De Frère Bank Bollet, where he worked with pride and integrity until 1986.
Due to political turmoil in Haiti, Aude relocated to New York in 1986. After spending a short period with family there, he and three close friends journeyed to West Palm Beach, FL in 1988 in search of stability and opportunity. Soon after, his wife Marie Pierre Louis joined him with their daughter Andriz, who was born in Puerto Rico in 1986. The family later welcomed Nathacha in 1990 and David in 1997. His eldest son, Roody, born in Haiti in 1982, joined the family here in West Palm Beach, FL, in 2000 - reuniting the household in love and joy and restoring a sense of completeness to their lives.
In Florida, Aude continued to exemplify a strong work ethic, perseverance and discipline. He built a respected career in the hospitality industry, first at The Breakers Hotel, Southeast Catering and later at PGA National Resort & Spa. He was well known for his reliability, kindness, ethics, great energy and professionalism. His colleagues admired him for his warm personality, humility, and unwavering dedication.
Aude Marothiere was not only a man of diligence and faith but also a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He was the kind of man who always had an answer when others were uncertain — a calm presence, a source of strength, and a pillar of wisdom in every room he entered.
He is survived by his four children: Roody Marotiere, Andriz Marotiere, Nathacha Marotiere, and David Marotiere; and by his eight cherished grandchildren: Roody Marotiere Jr., Amira Green, Amohd Desir, Chayan Marotiere, Chayana Marotiere, Aubri Green, Zain Marotiere, and Zaki Marotiere.
He is also survived by his loving siblings: Enide Auguste, Marie Maude Mahotiere, Jean Ronald Mahotiere, Magalie Frederique Mahotiere, and Margareth Mahotiere; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
For more than 30 years, Aude made West Palm Beach, Florida, his home, where he became a cherished member of the community. His compassion, guidance, laughter, and wisdom left a lasting impact on everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
After a long and meaningful life filled with courage, love, and service, Aude Marothiere peacefully transitioned to eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of strength, unity, and unconditional love that will live on through his family for generations to come.
“A great man never truly leaves; his spirit continues to shine through the love he gave and the lives he touched.”
