Claire Dorothy Murray

She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Carmody, a sister, Jane Crooks, and an infant grandson, Gordon Murray. She is survived by her children: Robert D. Murray, Jr. of Brooklyn; Cheryl E. (Michael) Burke of Jupiter; William F. (Katharine) Murray of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI; Joseph A. (Pauline) Murray of Nova Scotia; Lisa (Gregory) Wilson of Weston, MA and Palm Beach along with grandchildren Christine, Christopher, Colin, Kerry, Ian, James, Allison, Meghan, Caroline, Alexandra; great granddaughter Eloise and a sister, Muriel Byrnes.

Claire graduated from St. Xavier Academy in Providence and the R.I. Hospital School of Nursing before working in public health and a private hospital. After raising her five children she worked as a private contractor taking medical histories for insurance companies in Fairfield County, CT. A devout Catholic, Claire was a communicant at St. Edward Church and belonged to the St. Edward Ladies Guild.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, March 3rd at 11 AM in St. Edward Church, Palm Beach.

Interment will be in the family plot at St. Francis Cemetery in R.I., at the convenience of the family.
