

Layne was born and raised in West Palm Beach and graduated from Palm Beach Gardens High School in 2008. She was a student in the Radio and TV Production Magnet and was a member of the National Honor Society. Layne moved to Jacksonville after graduating from high school to continue her education at the University of North Florida. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Early Childhood Education in December of 2011. Layne married her high school sweetheart, Brandon, in November of 2013. She was teaching Kindergarten at Richard L. Brown Elementary School and working at Cowford Traders at the time of her passing. Though she was called to be with the Lord far too soon, she lived life to the fullest and was loved by all that knew her. She will be missed tremendously.
Layne is survived by her husband, Brandon Blackley; her parents Daniel and Collette Canavan; her sisters Lauren and Lissette Canavan; her brother Logan Canavan; her step-brother Douglas Marbry; her grandmothers Margaret (Ana) Canavan and Henrietta (Hank) Buck; uncles John and Michael Canavan; cousins Anastasia Canavan, Joshua Canavan and wife Jennifer and Cavan Canavan and wife Allison; Brandon’s parents Pat and Laura Blackley; and Brandon’s brother Dylan Blackley.
Layne was predeceased in death by
her grandfathers, James (Popie) Canavan and Al Buck.
A celebration of her life will be held at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 5411 Okeechobee Blvd., West Palm Beach
from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Saturday February 15, 2014.
