She was born April 27, 1929 in Lynn, MA and attended a French language grade school. She won her first beauty pageant as Prettiest Baby at age 2 in 1931 and was a part-time magician’s assistant as a teen. She graduated high school in Manchester, CT and married John B. Piescik, Sr., her WWII pen pal, a US Navy flight engineer, in 1947. They moved to South Florida with two young children in 1952.
Natalie was a devoted mother and volunteer whose life centered on God and family. She was Secretary-Treasurer of the family business, Multi-Techniques, Inc. in Lake Worth, FL, where she was active at Sacred Heart Church and School as a sacristan and altar server mom. She volunteered in the library there, and later was assistant librarian at Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach. She was a team member for the Cursillo movement in northern Palm Beach County. In her later years she traveled extensively with friends, to destinations including Ireland, Italy and Alaska. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Ignatius Loyola Cathedral, where she celebrated her 90th birthday in 2019 surrounded by scores of friends and family.She attended well over 100 baptisms, first communions, confirmations, graduations and weddings for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She sewed clothes, crocheted sweaters, baby blankets, and doilies, and made festive holiday tablecloths and pillow covers for all her children.
Natalie was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, John; her parents, Raymond Sullivan and Delia (Bouchard) Sullivan Lindner; her brother Ray; her daughters Susan Piescik and Rev. Elaine V. Emeth; and her granddaughter Bonnie Gustafson. She is survived by her brothers, John Sullivan and Leo Sullivan; her sister, Marilyn Stasieczko; and five children and their spouses: Natalie-Jeanne Gustafson (Roy) of Stuart, FL; John Piescik (Martha Maturi) of Vienna, VA; Walter Piescik (Dana Dornbusch) of S. Dartmouth, MA; and Peter Piescik (Debbie Piescik) and Raymond Piescik (Dana Piescik), of West Palm Beach, FL. She is also survived by son-in-law Daniel McCarthy and his wife Karen, 14 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and long-time friends.
Her funeral Mass was live streamed from St. Ignatius Loyola Cathedral in Palm Beach Gardens, FL on Monday, January 18 at 11:00 a.m. on www.cathedralpb.com. Immediately following the mass, she was buried at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, FL.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, the American Cancer Society, or to Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Palm Beach.
