Sharis Frier of Greenacres, Florida passed on May 5, 2026, at the age of 79. She passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Sharis was born on December 30, 1946 in Morganfield, Kentucky. She spent her childhood between Morganfield, Kentucky and West Palm Beach, Florida, places that remained close to her heart throughout her life.
Sharis worked as a legal secretary in West Palm Beach and devoted herself wholeheartedly to raising her two children predominantly as a single mother. Through hard work, sacrifice, and unconditional love, she created a strong and caring family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother whose kindness, strength, and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Brenda Wayne; her daughter, Kym Long, and son-in-law, Clifford Long; her son, Shannon Frier; and her beloved grandsons, Jack, Lucas, and Logan Long.
A celebration of Sharis’s life will be held on a date to be determined.
Her love, strength, and devotion to her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
