

After a long illness, Tim went to be with the Lord on August 17, 2025. He was born in Humbolt, Tennessee on August 15, 1943 and moved to West Palm Beach, Fl with his parents Martha and Ramon Henson when he was 3 years old.
He and his family were active members of the West Palm Beach Church of Christ, and he grew to love the Lord all his life.
Tim married Debbie Scott in January of 1981.
He graduated from Forest Hill High School in West Palm Beach in 1961. He attended what was then Palm Beach Junior College, and graduated from FAU in 1968. While in college, he worked summers as a beach lifeguard on Palm Beach and was an active surfer.
He was a beloved art teacher at Lake Worth Middle School for many years, and for the last few years of his career he taught at Wynnebrook Elementary School in West Palm Beach.
Tim had many hobbies and interests. First and foremost, he was the manager of the South Ocean String Band for over 20 years and, along with his wife Debbie, played bluegrass music throughout Florida and Georgia. He was proficient on various stringed instruments primarily he stand-up bass.
He was also an avid hunter, an award-winning fisherman, was proficient in karate and many of the creative crafts.
He is survived by his wife Debbie, son Robert, sister Candace Randell, one niece, three nephews, cousin Jane Henson, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A graveside ceremony will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery, 6411 Parker Avenue in West Palm Beach, FL 33405, on September 3, 2025 at 10AM. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to send donations to the West Palm Beach Church of Christ, 4236 Haverhill Road, West Palm Beach, Fl 33417.
