William Raymond Sneed

Bill was born in Knoxville, TN, and lived his first few years of life in Copperhill, TN. He spent most of his young life in Douglasville, GA where he graduated from Douglasville High School in 1961 and went on to graduate from Young Harris college.

Bill started his career as a sales rep for Gulf Oil Corporation in Miami, FL. He then transitioned into the nursey business specializing in ornamental foliage for 25 years. He ended his career as a project manager for Zabik and Associates Inc. He especially loved his 31 years of volunteering on the Board of Directors at the South Florida Fair.

He is survived by his loving wife Helen of 52 years. His children are Sheryl Hoinowski, Chris (Karen) Sneed, Carrie (Jim) Minear, and David (Colleen) Sneed. He was blessed with 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In the past two years he was fortunate to discover his birth family and began building relationships with his siblings, David (Brenda) Hodson, Peggy (Jim) Lahman and Bobby (Sharon) Hodson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William David and Ruby Sneed; Son-in-law Steven Hoinowski; Aunt and Uncle Mary Elizabeth and Leon Green; and members of his birth family, Helen Frances Hodson, Dennis Hodson, Polly Hodson Smith, and David Hodson.

A celebration of life will be held on April 13th at 10:00 am at Community of Hope Church. 14055 Okeechobee Blvd., Loxahatchee Groves, FL 33470
