Elsie E. Barone

BARONE, Else Ernestine (nee Wheeler) age 90 of West Seneca, NY passed away Wednesday October 20, 2021 at the Wyoming County Nursing Facility in Warsaw, NY. She was born on April 3, 1931 in Ebenzer, NY to John and Marguerite Wheeler (nee Kurtzhols). She worked as an insurance clerk for Metropolitan Life Insurance in West Seneca, where she met her husband Leonard Barone, who she married on August 2, 1975. Elsie enjoyed working on puzzles, doing word searches, and reminiscing about favorite pets. She was a Noble Grand Officer in the Ivanhoe Rebekah Lodge #191. She was predeceased by her husband, parents and her sisters, Marguerite Wheeler and Alvina (late Robert) Woodruff and Martha (late Kermit) Landphair. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. The family will be present on Tuesday from 10am- 12pm at the HOY FUNERAL HOME 3855 Seneca Street, West Seneca where funeral services will follow at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Seeing Eye Dogs Assn. or the Activities Dept. at Wyoming County Skilled Nursing. Interment will be at St. Matthews Cemetery, West Seneca, NY.
