In loving memory of Amy Michelle Cannon, our treasured wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend passed away on February 24, 2016, at home. She was born July 10, 1976, in Salt Lake City. Her personality was larger than life itself, inspiring the lives of everyone she met! Her bright smile, beautiful dimples, laughter, and uplifting words of encouragement lit up every room!
Amy’s journey on this Earth ended before any of us wanted it to! We all loved her from the moment we met her! She had the most generous heart and was constantly giving of herself to ensure everyone around her was taken care of.
She married the love of her life, Jay Cannon, on August 31, 2000. They were later sealed together in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity. They have three of the most respectful, considerate, and handsome boys (Spencer 19, Kaden 18, and Cooper 11) who loved and still love their mom with all of their hearts. These boys were her whole world. There was not a day that went by without her planning everything around how she could serve them. Lunches were always made, along with snacks, extra treats, Gatorades for sports, and so much more. Of course, friends were always included with all these super mom extras.
Amy was called “Favorite Aunt Amy,” because she truly was the favorite! All of her nieces and nephews adored her! She would take them out on individual dates and spoil them rotten. They all loved it!
Through all of the medical adversities that were placed upon Amy’s mortal body, she handled them with a positive attitude and always sought to serve others even though she was the one in need of service. She is now free from any mortal pain and suffering that she felt here! We can picture her running around and playing volleyball or basketball already!
Amy loved her callings as she served faithfully in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Two of her favorite callings were serving in Young Women’s while they lived in Magna and being the Sports Director for the Young Women in Kaysville. Sports were always a huge part of Amy’s life. Amy excelled with volleyball and basketball. She was an All-State volleyball player from Alta High School. So, it is no surprise that God’s plan for Amy was to influence and uplift others through her love for sports! These girls adored her, and we know that all their lives were blessed by the spirit of love that Amy possessed and passed onto them! She loved working as a CNA with her many friends and co-workers at Alta View Hospital.
We know Amy has been welcomed home to her Savior’s arms and has made so many friends with other guardian angels watching over all of us! We love you forever, Amy! Walk beside us, share your light with us, and help us celebrate you!
Please join us in celebrating the beautiful life of one of the most amazing women to walk this earth! Amy’s youngest son has asked us to wear red to show love for his mom! Amy is survived by her husband, Jay Cannon (Kaysville); her three sons, Spencer, Kaden, and Cooper (Kaysville); her father, Doug (Tina Marie) Price (South Jordan); her mother, Lisa Price (Draper); her siblings, Christina, Daniel, and Douglas Price; her grandmother, Margret Price (Sandy).
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2016, at the Kaysville Crestwood Chapel, 1039 East Crestwood Road, at 11:00 a.m. The viewing will be from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service and Tuesday, March 1, 2016, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Interment will be at the Kaysville City Cemetery.
