Barbara Jean Lewis

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our mother, grandmother, and sister, Barbara Jean Day Lewis (Age 76), who left us peacefully surrounded by family on April 13th, 2025. Her presence was a source of unwavering strength, her heart a wellspring of love, and her life a legacy of kindness, grace, and generosity.

She dedicated her life to her family, always putting others before herself. As a mother, she was fierce, protective, and endlessly supportive. As a grandmother, she was a safe space for her grandchildren — always having an open door and an ear to listen, though she always loved to tease and make them laugh. She had an extraordinary gift for making those around her feel loved, safe, and seen.

She was a free spirit with a love of tinkering, sewing, crafting — anything where she could show her creative mind. She was the kind of person who saw magic in the smallest things. Her shelves overflowed with trinkets, sometimes obtained by creative means. To some, her home looked cluttered. To her it was alive, buzzing with memories and stories for each item.

Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing that her love lives on in each of us — in the lessons she taught, the traditions she passed down, and the memories we will cherish forever.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
