It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barry Albert Nordgren, a cherished brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Born to Kent and Eliza as the fourth of nine children, Barry's life was a testament to love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family. He left us on February 22, 2025, due to medical conditions, but he will forever remain in our hearts.
Barry found immense joy in playing with his beloved granddaughter, Meadow, cheering on his grandchildren Ryker and Ahria, and immersing himself in the simple pleasures of life. His passions included playing and watching baseball and enjoying the great outdoors through fishing, hunting, and camping. These moments brought him joy and created lasting memories that will be treasured by all who loved him.
He is now reunited with his son, Anthony, who preceded him in death, along with his mother, father, and brother, Jeff, who are surely welcoming him in the embrace of eternal peace.
Barry's absence will be profoundly felt, not only by his daughter, Denise (Penny), grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, but also by his siblings: Roger, Greg, Kathy (Hackett), Bill, Doug, Becky (Phelps) and Cyndi (Nordgren). Together, they bid him a heartfelt "see you later," knowing that his spirit will continue to shine brightly in their lives.
As we remember Barry, let us honor the warmth and kindness he shared with each of us. He will be dearly missed, but his love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A Celebration of Barry's Life will take place at Valley View Funeral Home (4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, UT 84120) on Friday, March 14, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
