Billie Deen Ellett

Billie Deen was born May 28, 1931 in Escalante, Utah to Tillman Woolsey and Alcea Heaps Woolsey. At

the age of 4 she went to live with Billy and Dora Barker upon the death of her mother, Alcea. She

attended Escalante High School where she played in the band, was active in sports and was a

cheerleader. She married James LaDon Ellett on October 5, 1948 in Escalante, Utah. She was a member

of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for 6 years. She worked at Litton Industries balancing gyroscope rotors for 27 years.

She is survived by her children, Linford W. Ellett; Paul Don Ellett; Stephanie Ellett Jenkins; Bruce Tillman Ellett and Dora Deen Ellett Jorgensen; siblings, Rae Woolsey Smith; Dewey Woolsey; Milton Woolsey; Warren Woolsey; Mona Gene Sorenson and Sharon Francisco; 25 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James LaDon Ellett; son, Charles Kay Ellett; parents Tillman and Alcea Heaps, foster parents Billy and Dora Barker; siblings, Rula Christensen; Bud Woolsey; Wells Woolsey; Elnora Williams; Donald Woolsey-Cowles; Phylis Woolsey and foster brother, Richard Barker.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 12th at 12:00 p.m. at the L.D.S. Ward at 3450 South 6400 West, West Valley City, UT. The family will receive friends at a viewing prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. Internment at Valley View Memorial Park. Condolences may be sent to the family at valleyviewfuneral.com.
