June 28, 1944 – June 8, 2020
Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, Boyd Eugene Allen, 75, passed away on June 8, 2020 in Eagle Mountain, Utah surrounded by his loving family. He was born June 28, 1944 in Price, Utah to Floyd K. Allen and Irene Ramey Irwin. Boyd attended and graduated from Green River High School. He married Susan Mason Allen in San Jose, California on November 26, 1966.
Boyd worked for Harrington Trucking Company as a truck driver for over 35 years. He loved camping, fishing and especially watching the New York Giants football team. He and Susan lived and traveled in their RV for 10 years and made many friends all over the United States. They had many great adventures throughout the years and spent the last four and half years at their home in Eagle Mountain, Utah.
He fought a courageous yearlong battle with cancer. The family wishes to thank Ashby Hospice for their loving care the last 3 months, especially Bridget, Carrie and Keith.
Boyd is survived by his loving wife, Susan M. Allen; children: Gina K. Allen, Robert (Simone) Allen, Jennifer Alles, Jonathan Allen; brother, Jerry (Janet) Allen; 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Kaye Krueger and son, Thomas E. Allen.
To honor Boyd and his family, a viewing will be held Monday, June 15, 2020 from 12:00 pm – 1:45 pm at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Valley View Memorial Park starting at 2:00 pm.
