

Daniel Wayne Vaughn, age 69, passed away peacefully at home in West Jordan, Utah on January 21, 2025, in the presence of his wife Judy and his favorite dog Harley. Daniel passed from diabetes, and lung and heart failure.
Daniel was born March 29, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio to Orvil W. Vaughn and Addie Virginia Wallace. He graduated from James Monroe High School in southern California. Danny grew up with his younger sister, Tiena J. Vaughn. When he was 18 years old, he asked his mother, Virginia to come move in with him so he could take care of her. On October 27, 2006, he married Judy A. Moore in West Valley City, Utah. He worked for H&E Equipment for 25 years.
Daniel was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved motorcycles, music, reading about Joseph Smith and Porter Rockwell, and participated in a bowling league. He was an avid Raiders fan and through the years collected numerous Raider memorabilia. He and Judy loved to travel to LDS temples in the United States. They visited a total of 32 temples and sites including Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Colorado, California, Utah, Idaho, Missouri, Illinois (Nauvoo), Nebraska (Winter Quarters), among others. They often traveled with their best friend, Annette Little.
Surviving relatives include his beloved wife, Judy Ann Moore; sister, Tiena J. Cowden (Chris); and 10 nieces and nephews to which he loved dearly, he was so proud to be their uncle.
Preceded in death by his parents, Orvil W. Vaughn and Addie Virginia Wallace.
A Funeral Service honoring Daniel will take place on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 8137 S Echo View Drive, West Jordan, Utah. The service will be live-streamed. Prior to service at 10:00 AM, please take time to visit with Judy and view Daniel's life over the years.
