David Denman, 37, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at his group home in Sandy, Utah. David was born April 3, 1979, to Vernon Bradley and Judith Ilene Denman in Salt Lake City, Utah. David was the youngest of four children raised in Kearns and then Dugway Utah. He is preceded in death by his sister, Aimee Pearl Stone. Survived by parents, Vernon and Judy Denman of Tooele, Utah and sisters Kristie (Steven) Brown, and Diana (Michael Stubbs) Denman, of Grantsville Utah. He attended Oquirrh Hills in Tooele and finished his education at Dugway High School before moving into a Group Home for adults with disabilities.
David suffered for most of his life with unexplained and uncontrollable epilepsy, but had an amazing spirit that was unbreakable. His beautiful smile and bawdy laugh were infectious to all. There was no one that could give a hug like David, and he loved to share them.
David received many medals for his participation in the Utah Special Olympics of which he was very proud. His proudest moment was becoming an Uncle. He is much loved, and will be dearly missed by his Nephews, Max, Cooper, and Frank; and Niece Stevie. He has a special place in their hearts, and taught them of the unconditional and gentle love for those who are different.
David touched many lives and hearts and will never be forgotten. Through his group home activities and work at the Work Activity Center, David has made too many friends, and built too many relationships to count. A special Thank You to Jim and Jeff Jensen TJK Services, Barbara Mitchell, and the staff and Aids that cared for David over the last 15 years.
A Celebration of Life is planned for June 4th 2016. Time and place are to be determined. The information will be added soon.
