Earl L Garrick

1928~2014

Earl LaRoy Garrick passed away on July 25, 2014 in West Valley City, Utah. He was born on October 20, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Arthur Earl Garrick and Flossie Edith Vincent. He graduated from West High School. He married Nelly Jo Benson on November 5, 1948 in the Salt Lake City, Utah.

Earl retired from Kennecott Copper and managed the Kearns Bowling Alley. He loved bowling, fishing, camping and spending time with his family, friends and ward family. He adored his grandchildren and his care givers at the VA and Hospice.

He is survived by his children, Claudia Skaar (Arizona), Pamela Burns (Vernal), and Susan Briancesco (WVC); sister, Mary Jane Carmen (SLC); 12 Grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nelly Jo; son, Darren Garrick; sister, Bonnie; brothers, Don, Neal and Daniel.

Services for Earl will be held on Tuesday July 29, 2014 at 11:00am at the Westwood Heights 2nd ward, 3976 W. Dimrall Dr., Taylorsville. A viewing will be held Monday July 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 S. West Valley City, and one hour prior to services at the church.
