Gail Christine Paul

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Gail Christine Ford Paul, 71, who passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 in West Valley City. Gail was born August 10, 1954 in Wichita, Kansas to Donald Gene Ford Sr & Lela Bettina Norgren. She moved to Utah during her teenage years, but always kept her love for her home state of Kansas where she had so many fond memories with her grandmas & cousins who live there. Gail married Fred Paul in April 1973. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple in 1991. We are grateful for the knowledge that because of this our family is will be together eternally. Gail's greatest joy was found in her family. She dearly loved her husband, children and grandchildren, and especially her little peanut, Elly.

Gail had a deep love and faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. She struggled throughout her life with mental illness & that helped shape her into the kind and compassionate person that she was. She was always accepting of anyone no matter the challenges they were facing, and was a good friend to all. She was a great cheerleader for everyone that she came in contact with, and always wanted a hug and a kiss before you left.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, her children, Heather (James) Lawrence & Joshua (Suzie) Paul. Grandchildren Kirstin (Jake), Anakin, Grayce (Martin), Aubrey (Megan), Jonathon, Hannah, Riley, Samuel, Jacob & Josiah, and great-granddaughter Elly.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Ashten Lawrence.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th at 11 am at the Hillsdale Park Ward 3274 S Hillsdale Drive, West Valley City.
