Please take a moment to look at the person sitting next to you. What was their personal relationship with Neva? Are they a child, a parent, a sister or a grandchild? Perhaps a cousin or a friend? No matter what your relationship with Neva may have been, I am certain that it was a cherished one. One that will not be forgotten. And one that is no less important to her than another. Neva (The Beav) was a kind and loving individual from the time that she was little. She was always taking in stray animals and caring for them when she was young. It didn’t matter whether or not this was a small wounded bird or an abandoned puppy or kitten. She had a giant heart and was always giving. These traits followed her well throughout her life. Just as she did when she was young she would take anyone in and would have given you the last dollar in her pocket or the coat off of her back. This may be why she had so many friends. Friends that she kept for a lifetime. In addition to being so giving with friends and strangers she never ceased to care for her daughters and her grandchildren. She loved them so much and would do anything for them. Even when Neva was going through difficult times or became ill, she was always there to support her family. They meant everything to her. Neva was taken from all of us far too soon. We are going to miss her contagious smile and laugh, her will to always make things happen, and even just seeing her move her head to the beat of some Journey or a Gap Band song. You never truly know when the last time you get to see someone in your life, to tell them that you love them or to even just lend a helping hand or offer a kind word. Don’t ever regret not having done this for the people in your life that you love and that love you.
