James Wilkins Goodrich

James Wilkins Goodrich, age 85, passed away on August 29, 2016 in South Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born on January 6, 1931 in Peoria, Illinois to Wilkins Goodrich and Betty Imo Lamb. He graduated from Granite high School. He married Jeanine Jacketta on June 28, 1997 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He enjoyed the outdoors, had a great love for Nascar Racing, and a passion for attending the Mountain Man Rendezvous! Spending time with family was one of his pleasures in life he enjoyed the most.

James is survived by his wife, Jeanine Jacketta Goodrich; children, Janice (Jerry) Pacheco, JoAnn Kincheloe, Cindy Kaufman, RoxAnn (Clark) Cowley, Melvin (Lana) Perschon, Jolene (Steve) Mattingly, Jeri Arduser, Martin (Janet) Perschon, Julie (Rick) Anderson, Matt (Patti) Perschon, Nick (Kati) Medel, and his loyal companion, Shasta; a grundle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a few great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Janny; son, Wick; daughter, Kristy; and sister Betty.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. A viewing will be held Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Valley View and one hour prior to the service.
