Jason Todd Shaw

Jason Todd Shaw, 43, of Tooele, Utah, passed away suddenly on February 4, 2026, in Tooele. Todd was adopted as a toddler into the loving home of Lonnie and Evette Shaw. He grew up in Magna, Utah, where he was especially talented at baseball and bowling and enjoyed staying active in sports. He spent his life pursuing his interests and caring for those closest to him. He was a loving son, brother, father, and uncle. Todd worked in the HVAC industry and was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and pride in his craft. Though reserved and quiet at times, he was deeply caring and kind. He found happiness in life’s simple pleasures: spending time outdoors, relaxing on warm summer nights, enjoying a cold beer, and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Those closest to him will remember his gentle spirit, steady presence, and the many quiet ways he showed his love.

Todd is survived by his son, Deacan Shaw; his father, Lonnie Shaw; his siblings, twin brother Jeremy Shaw, Cody Marshall, Rick Jorgensen, Tracy Spor, and Shelly McCullough; his nieces, Shalyce, Brianna, Elizabeth, Jenna, Rylee, Hailey, Emmie, and Madison; his nephews, Gregory, Weston, Justin, Austin, Kade, Ty, Gage, Gavin, Jacob, Gage, Holden, and Jayce; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him deeply. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evette Shaw.

A Ceremony of Life to celebrate Todd’s memory will be held, with details to be shared by the family at a later time. A candlelight vigil will be held on Saturday, February 21st, 2026, from 7 to 8 PM at the Tooele RV & Auto Repair 70 E 1100 N Tooele, UT 84074 for those that wish to attend.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Todd’s memory by reaching out to someone you love and reminding them they matter.
