Jeannette was a beacon of warmth and generosity, embracing life with an open heart. She believed that family extended beyond blood ties, forming deep connections through love and kindness. Her unwavering compassion touched countless lives, offering support and comfort to all who knew her. She married her soulmate Lewis Chavez August 29th, 1975, in Elko Nevada.
She found beauty in life's simple joys—fishing by the water’s edge, tending to her beloved garden, and taking cherished trips to Wendover. Yet above all else, her greatest happiness came from the time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her home was a haven of laughter and love, where everyone felt embraced and valued.
Jeannette is survived by her devoted husband, Lewis Chavez; her three children: Lewis Chavez, Nathan (Jaimie) Chavez, and Nicholas (Kelsey) Chavez; & Nephew Paul Johnson, her sisters Debrah (Craig) Gill and Jeanie (Walt); and her brother Lonnie (Gail) Yeaman. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren: Anthony (Angel), Meadow, Taven, Jayden, Julian, Jakovi, Anniston, and Emme; as well as four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Carol Alcala and Ronald Yeaman; and her siblings Susan Sundwall, Raynette Yeaman, and Randall Yeaman.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Jeannette’s honor on March 13, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Valley View Memorial Park and Funeral Home at 4335 W. 4100 S. in West Valley City, Utah.
Her legacy of love will continue to shine through those she cherished most. May her memory bring comfort to all whose lives she graced.
