John R Thomson passed away at St. Marks Hospital on January 28, 2015 after a long battle with COPD at the age of 63. He is survived by his father Rex Thomson, loving wife Bonnie, sons Andrew J and James, grandchildren Jace, Zac, and Lillian, and sisters Ginny, Geri, and Laurie. John was a loving father, husband, and papa. After serving the Navy in the Vietnam War, he became a truck driver falling in love with the open road. He will continue to live in all of our hearts, our Freebird is traveling on.
