Jose Pacheco

Jose Pacheco, 91 of Leadville, Colorado since 1981 passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 18, 1924 in Trampas, New Mexico to Jose and Isabelita Leyba Pacheco. He married Adelena Lucero Pena Pacheco on March 26, 1957 in Elko, Nevada.

Jose was a veteran, serving in the Navy as a Fireman, First Class during World War II. He retired from his career as a Hard Rock Miner. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. His family was the most important part of his life.

Jose is survived by his son Jose Ramon Pacheco and wife Gloria, daughter Deelila Lopez and husband Max, son Robert Pacheco and wife Mickie, son Ruben Pacheco and wife Susanne and son Randy Pacheco; grandchildren Trinity Pacheco, Jeanette Gaines, Stephanie McBride and husband Nelson, Joseph Pacheco, Willy Pacheco, Maxine Radocy and husband Nathan, Matthew Lopez and wife Sharon, Katrina Thede and husband Gustano, Robert Pacheco Jr and wife Mikaela, Gracie Jiminez, Ashley Pacheco, Marie Pacheco, Alexandra Pacheco, Joselena Pacheco, Miya Medrill, Lilly Pacheco, Adarah Neil, and Vannah Neil; great grandchildren Jonathan Gaines, Isac Gaines, Brandon Gaines, Anaya McBride, Christopher Lopez, Layla Lopez, Mariah Hill, Mikayla Drexel, Caleb Drexel,Sativa Valenzula, Nicholas Valenzula and Gabe Long. He was preceded in death by his wife, sons Anthony Pacheco and Robert Pacheco, brothers Braulo Pacheco, Octavano Pacheco and Alfonso Pacheco and his sister Anita Pacheco.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church in Leadville with a Rosary Service to follow at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Annunciation Catholic Church with a reception to follow at the Annunciation Catholic Church Parish Hall. Burial will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 at West Jordan City Cemetery in West Jordan, Utah. Bailey-Kent Funeral Home of Leadville is assisting the family with local arrangements.
