Katherine Stolpe Bullock, our loving, kind and beautiful Mother, Grandmother, and Great-grandmother, age 94 passed away peacefully on April 5, 2010 after a life filled with devotion and service to her family.
Katherine was born in Topaz, Idaho on August 25, 1915 to Amelia Feller and Brady Stolpe. Katherine’s early life was spent in Lake town, Idaho. She attended Granite high school in Salt Lake City, Utah. Married Willard Arthur Bullock in the Salt Lake Temple September 19, 1934 for time and all eternity. She was the proud mother of three children, Willard A. Bullock Jr. Kathryn Elizabeth (Beth) Haderlie, and Barbara Mathis. Her greatest joy was her family.
Katherine was a gourmet cook and a very talented seamstress and found great joy in cooking and sewing for her children and grandchildren. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She enjoyed the simple beauties of life, blue birds, and flowers. She spent much of her time at their Montana Ranch teaching her grandchildren skills such as fishing, canning, cooking, knitting and sewing. She served in the LDS church in many capacities, one for which she is remembered is 17 years as a primary blazer teacher.
She is survived by two children Willard A Bullock Jr. (Joyce), Barbara Mathis (Morrell), eight grand children, Kent B. Haderlie, Scott, B. Haderlie, Margene Bollingbroke, Marie Fair, Mark Bullock, Suzanne McMillian, Rex Mathis and Julynne Lane, and twenty two great grand children who all adore and love her.
Proceeded in death by husband, parents, daughter, Kathryn Elizabeth (Beth) (Milton) Haderlie, grandson, Alan Brent Haderlie and all her siblings, Emanuel Brady Stolpe, Adeline Rose (Karl)
Christensen, Gladys Stolpe, Virginia (Elroy) Lewis, Frederick Christian Stolpe and Frank Mitchell
She leaves a great legacy for her posterity of love, compassion and service. Our lives will
forever be blessed for knowing such a wonderful person as Katherine Stolpe Bullock.
Funeral services will be held at Candlestick LDS Ward 2850 West 3835 South at 12:00 noon April 9th, 2010. The family will receive friends and family at the church two hours prior to services.
