

He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on June 28, 1945 to James Lee Record and Nora Ruth Paul Record. Kelly was married to his sweetheart, Eva Kaye Henline on June 10, 1966 in the Salt Lake Temple. They recently celebrated their 50th anniversary.
He graduated from Granger High School on1963. He then served a Southwest Indian work mission 1963-1965 for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. From 1967-1970 he served in the US Army in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant E-5.
He was currently serving for the past seven years as a member on the Board of Trustees for Kearns Improvement District, and served on many different Boards for the community. Kelly, his wife and family were actively involved in raising many foster kids from 1991-2011. He enjoyed music, shopping and was a collector of many things. Kelly was a big teddy bear with a heart full of love that he willingly shared with so many people along the way. He is deeply loved and will be missed by all.
Kelly is survived by his wife, Kaye; children, Shane Lee Record (Fiona), Mandy Record, Heather Lowe, Mandy Ho (John), Tristan Olson (Ryan), Clarissa Walker (Matt); brother, Scott Record (Lynette); grandchildren, Colby, Lateesha, Grayden, Kyce, Angel, Ariyanna, Jadzia, Tadien, Tanyon, Nya, Kamden, Destan; great grandson, Oliver; many nieces and nephews, and other family and friends. Kelly is preceded in death by his parents.
Viewing will be held Friday, January 6th, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 7th, 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Funeral Home. Burial will follow the funeral at Valley View Memorial Park.
