1937 ~ 2020
Our loving father, grandfather, brother and friend Ken passed away peacefully on June 9, 2020 in his home in West Valley City, Utah. He was born on December 2, 1937 in Coalville, Utah to Claude and Dorothy Smith. He married Marian McQueen on November 26, 1960 and was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had two sons together, Ray and Robert. Ken was a very devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He worked at Kennecott’s Smelter as a carpenter, train engineer and was heavily involved in the union. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived son, Ray Smith (Jill Gebelt) and their children, Jorman Smith, Jolene Gebelt; son, Robert Brody and their son, Ian Brody; sister, Kathryn Ann Rice. He is preceded in death by his wife Marian, his daughter-in-law Sheila Brody, and his parents. Graveside services for Ken will be held on Monday, June 15, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South.
