Margie was born on July 12, 1943 to Art and Sara Lund, the only daughter of their 4 children.
Margie lived in 21 homes in her first 21 years of life, which made her a bit shy. She travelled throughout Utah, Idaho, Oregon and California during those 21 years.
Margie met and fell in love with Theo Dennis Brasher while she was attending BYU and they became engaged after 3 dates. They joked that she got her MRS degree from BYU. Margie and Theo were married on Nov 9, 1965 and one year later sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. They made a wonderful life together over the span of 58 years. They lived in several locations in the Salt Lake Valley, Northern California and finally settled in West Valley, Utah.
Margie had many exciting jobs in her career. She won an award from the FBI while she worked there for her marksmanship. Margie and Theo owned a dental X-Ray lab where she ran the front desk, while Theo managed the X-rays and worked with the patients. Her favorite job was working at the University of Utah Pharmaceutics Department under her boss Dr. William “Bill” Higuchi. She worked there for 28 years as an administrative assistant and enjoyed that work until she retired in 2007.
By far her favorite calling in life, Margie was the loving mother of 4 children, Lee and wife, Becky Brasher, Deanna Brasher, Kimber Brasher and Mace Brasher, who were all her favorites. She was the kindest sweetest mother. She was a great example of unconditional love and would do anything to help her children. She has 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was also an amazing caregiver to her elderly mother Sara.
She loved listening to her favorite band Joshua Creek and attended several local concerts and listened to them almost every night. She was thrilled that they sent her a special message for her birthday.
Margie and Theo were avid square dancers and loved to travel to attend Square Dance Conventions and be instructed by the best callers. They loved playing pinochle with their children and their best friends, Pat and Dave Washburn, regularly for over 30 years.
Margie suffered with Alzheimer's disease in her later years and never complained. She was able to stay at her home due in part to all of the care her husband and children provided. A special thanks to all of the nurses and people that cared for her.
