Shelly and Family. I am so sorry for your loss. I have known your family for many (many!) years and know how close you are to each other. This closeness will surely help you during this difficult time. Your Dad has given you the gift of many memories. Treasure those memories and hold them close to your heart and he will forever be with you.  I too, will miss his hugs at the "family gatherings"! And Shelly, I could sure use a shot of that whiskey! It is not easy losing a loved one. I am so glad Sam and I had a chance to talk with Mark a few months back. I can remember being neighbors back in the 70's in Glenview Ill. You were great neighbors and we always had good memories of you, Mark  and the family. Take one day at a time. Our Prayers are with you and the family.

I remember sharing so many great memories with my dad. Like the time he took all our family out geode hunting & showed us how to find them and open them to see natures wonders inside. That is what he was, one of natures wonders; maybe a little rough on the outside but he had such a beautiful and amazing personality. He always knew what to say to get a smile. I will miss him greatly and I will always Love Him!!

Dad,I'm going to miss you very much.Thank you for the many gifts you gave me in my life.A good sense of humor, stubbornness, sarcasm,being down to earth, compaction.And the wisdom you passed on to us,throughout the years.The appreciation of a good joke,country music,old rock-n-roll,vintage cars,The love of working with wood,fishing,camping,nature,good book,and family.I will always remember working on projects and cars with you.I am going to miss watching,This Old House,wood working shows, documentaries,animated movies,and nature shows,and yes even the war movies with you.We didn't always see eye to eye. We wanted to express our sincere condolences on the recent passing of your father. Although we didn't know your dad, we have still come to realize his great compassion and kindness that lives on through his children! 

Although no comfort is quite enough to replace your loss, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I will treasure the memories of the visit from Mark and Pearl last summer after a separation of 45 years for first cousins.  Thanks to Mark for the book of Morehouse geneology. With love always.

What I know of him is through the eyes of a child and a greatful heart of a friend. Shelly and I were in high school together, She loved him so much and because of his example and his parenting she has turned out to be an exceptional woman and true friend. May your love bloom eternal and his memory be a comfort to you.

Mark was a great neighbor with a fun sense of humor. Our family will miss him a lot. Love to Pearl and the family, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

It is not going to be easy to get over this loss of Mark but all we can do is remember the good times we all had with him. We kept in touch through the internet and if there is a way, we will hear from him again, somehow. Miss ya Buddy, "Double-D"

Dad I will miss you greatly, your hugs and I love yous that you gave me daily before either you or I left for work. You telling me to be safe. Your smiles and laughter.
