Dear Nana, how I've missed you throughout the years of my  life.  You were the sunlight in my life, the calm in the middle of the chaos between 2 separated parents and the start of a new family.  I didn't  
find out about your death until 2013. My heart shattered when I found out. I wish I had the chance to have had one last conversation with you, one last hug, and one last I love you. 
 Some of my favorite  memories are the night you made some amazing spaghetti, you were the one that introduced me to my favorite movie Hocus Pocus, when we would go play at the park,  when you would make me feel safe and protected at night when I felt scared and alone.  The night the we sat out on your front porch and were looking at the stars and you told me the stars were angles looking down on me and that when you became a angel you would be watching over me.  I wish i could go back in time and just spend a little more time with you. I miss you so much Nana!

This is the time that comes to all of us yet we never hope the time actually arrives.  I will always cherish the time spent with her especially my last visit just a few weeks ago.  We shared some laughs, a few tears and some stories of times past.  Mary was a great sister who was surrounded by a very loving son and family.  Thanks Rick and Susan for the extra effort you extended in the last few years.  Sam & I hope your family can find peace very soon after such a great loss.  She would want that.

We were out of town when we received the sad news about your Mom.  I will miss her too, she was a special person and a great sister.  I'm relieved that she's not in pain or suffering any longer.  How blessed she was to have spent her last few years with you, your wife and her grandchildren--surrounded by love and support. Mary lived an incredible life and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend to all she knew. She knew the importance of family and I am grateful that she was able to live with you guys the past couple of years. May our Heavenly Father's blessings shine about you in your hour of grief. Sending my condolences on the passing of your mom.  I did not know Aunt Mary very well but I do remember the 2 trips to Laughlin, NV with her and Aunt Marge, and my mother, Sara for their school reunions.  Aunt Mary was so sweet and kind and a lot of fun.  There are no words that I can say that will ease your grief but the time will come when the memories of such a loving person will bring you comfort.  Take care of each other.   With Love....
