Mary Joanne Clark Buckner passed away April 3, 2015 in South Jordan, Utah at age 84. She was born September 8, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Frank Van Orman Clark and Mary Moesser. She married Arthur Blaine Buckner on September 14, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. She loved her family very much, and enjoyed holidays, and all family gatherings. She supported her husband, children and grandchildren in all ways possible. She was an active member of the LDS Church and held numerous ward and stake positions. She was a volunteer at the Jordan River Temple for 16 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and was a 4-H leader. She was an avid journalist, chronicling her many travels at home and abroad with Blaine, family, and friends. She enjoyed playing the piano. She was an accomplished homemaker and excelled in the arts of sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, cooking, and making chocolates. Her motto was "Look for the good." Joanne is survived by her husband of 65 years and children Kent (Rozella); Jeff (Elaine); Kelly (Ruth); Mary Jo (Kelly) Page; Steve (Shirard); 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Mackay and brother, Frank Clark. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 7, 2015, 12:00 noon at the Parkway Stake Center located at 9894 S. 2700 West, South Jordan. Family and friends may call Monday April 6, 6-7:30 p.m. at the church and again Tuesday 11:00-11:45 a.m. prior to funeral services. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park, West Valley City, Utah.
