1931-2013
Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Melba Jean Newman Dimick Baker, 82, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on June 26, 1931 in Garfield, Utah to Adolph and Olive Hales Newman. She graduated from Cyprus High School.
Jean was a member of the LDS church. She loved bowling, and her cat, Nemo. Jean never missed watching a Jazz game on T.V. She spent many years living in Las Vegas where she made many wonderful friends.
Jean is survived by her children, Jocelyn Johnson and Jeffrey Dimick; brother, Michael Newman; 4 grand children and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Maurice A. Newman, sisters: Mildred Wilde, Marjorie Morris, Mary Peterson.

Graveside services for Jean will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the Valley View Memorial Park and Mortuary, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services.
