Michael Arthur Berry

Michael was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings, his favorite being a home teacher. He was diligent in visiting his families because he loved and cared about them dearly.

He loved spending time with family and friends. He had a very special bond with his grandchildren. He was an avid BYU fan. He had a passion for cars. he enjoyed traveling and going to movies.

Michael was dearly beloved by all those who knew him especially his family. He became your friend immediately and had the type of personality that a made a lasting impression on all those who met him.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Kay Wilder; brother, James Berry; and parents, Benjamin J. Berry Jr and Idella Mae Cole.

Surviving family includes, wife, Peggy Newell of West Valley, UT; son, Jason, his wife Jamie of Easley, SC; daughter, Rebecca of Salt Lake, UT; son, Andy, his wife Ashley of Kearns, UT; including three grand children, Michael, Haalee, Chrissy; three sisters and a brother.

A viewing will be held at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT, Sunday, June 4, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. and again one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Services will be held Monday, June 5, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Copperhill 3rd Ward, 6755 West 3800 South, West Valley City, UT. Internment at Valley View Memorial Park.
