

Mike was born on April 27, 1961, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Warren Lee Brown and Evelyn LaRue Brown. He was the beloved grandson of Leo and Mary Brown and Pete and Lorena Klima. He graduated from the University of Phoenix with a bachelor's degree in business administration and recently retired from Ames Construction, where he spent the majority of his career as a Cost Engineer.
Above all else, Mike was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, and dog owner. He enjoyed golfing, skiing, traveling, and taking walks with his beloved dog, Tucker. More than any hobby or pastime, he found joy in spending time with his children and supporting the people and pets he loved. Whether it was an adventure, a family gathering, or simply lending a helping hand, Mike was happiest when he was with those he cared about.
Mike will be remembered for his kind smile, generosity, easygoing nature, and sense of humor. He had a way of making others feel welcome and valued, and his warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Mike is survived by his sons, Jacob Brown and Ryan Brown (Alicia); his mother, Evelyn LaRue Brown; his granddaughter, Evelyn Sofia Brown Tena; his siblings, Shelly Bermingham (Sean), Sonya Dollens (Scott), Stormy Stevens (Rulon), and Teal Brown; as well as four nephews, one niece, 2 great nieces, 1 great nephew, Aunt Elaine and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Warren Lee Brown, and his nephew, Austin Andrew, son of Sonya.
An open house celebrating Mike's life will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 4339 South Mark Read Street, West Valley City, Utah 84119. Family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, and anyone who knew Mike or wishes to pay their respects are warmly invited to attend.
Mike's kindness, love, and unwavering dedication to his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
