Miles Grant Davidson

1923-2011

Miles Grant Davidson, Sr., 87 ½, passed away on July 22, 2011 in Taylorsville, Utah at the Golden Living. He was born on December 20, 1923 in Silver City, Utah to John Andrew and Ruby Gressmen Davidson. He attended Milford High School and Utah State University. He later married Elaine Hopkins Davidson on November 1, 1948 in Ely, Nevada.

He proudly served in the U.S Navy Aircorps Pacific Theater in World War II. Most important to dad was his family. He worked hard to build his legacy by supporting and participating in family traditions and activities. His children, grandchildren and great grandchildren brought him so much joy. We will see him in each other’s faces everyday.

He is survived by his children: Julie (Boyd) Davis, Paula (Mark) Staker, Valerie (Ottis) Reese; step-children, Del (Rusty) VanWagoner, Darla (Tom) Wallace, Dee (Mary) VanWagoner; sister, Madeline Sue Smith “Deb”; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elaine, wife, Betty and his only son, Miles Grant Davidson, Jr.; 7 sisters, 2 brothers and his parents.

Services will be held Thursday July 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South. Viewings will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior on Thursday. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.
