He grew up on a farm near Calvin, ND. At an early age he joined the US Navy and fought for our country in World War II. Orven and Shirley married January 23, 1948. Together they had two children John Agar (wife Laurie) and Linda Agar. They had three grandchildren Chris, Greg, and Ashley, and two great grandchildren. He was an active member of the Methodist Church and loved by his congregation. He will be so deeply missed by all of the lives he has touched and blessed along the way. There are no words to express the amount of love and wisdom he shared with so many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church Thursday May 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. which is located at 4290 West 5415 South, Kearns, UT 84118. Followed by a graveside service at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT 84120.
