Patricia Lee Anderson

Patricia (Trish) Lee Anderson was born on June 10th 1958 and passed away on August 24th 2022, after a fantastic weekend with her family. Our Mom often referred to herself as a ‘gypsy’ as she lived in many different places throughout her life to include; California, Washington, Wyoming, and the place she called home, Utah. Our Mom was blessed with two spitfire daughters, Vonna Marie and Connie Irene. Both of whom gave her a real run for her money, but loved her fierce and deep. In 2019 her life became complete when she was promoted to “Nana.” Addison Jean was the apple of her eye and anyone who knew our Mom knew that to be the case.

Our Mom was a loyal employee of the State of Utah where she worked in many divisions and in many roles, her most recent being an HR analyst. Our Mom loved her job and all the many people she spoke to, worked with and helped each day. Our Mom was a stranger to no one; whether it was the kid at the drive up window, a stranger in the grocery store or a friend she had not spoken to in years. She loved people! It would not be uncommon for her to buy the persons food behind her in line, buy diapers for her neighbors or fill someone’s fridge with food. She was kind, loving, caring and giving to anyone. She would easily go without knowing how her actions would help others. “Hello my friend” was a common phrase you would hear on the phone and you knew she meant it, you really were her friend. She loved crafting, being creative and participating in the theatre in many different roles.

Our Mom came from a large family. She was born to Jesse Fred and Irma May Bartlett. Her family soon grew as they both went on to marry once again. Her Mom to Eugene Cripe, and her Dad to Virginia Bartlett. She was blessed to grow up with three sisters: Bonnie, Connie and her ‘untwin’ Pamela. Then came along her ‘little bro’ JR and younger sister Sara, who rounded out the list to include many step siblings as well.

While our Mom left the party way too soon she left behind a loving family: Vonna, Russell and their daughter Addison, and Connie who will always love and miss her.

An open house of remembrance to honor Trish will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (3650 W 4400 S. West Valley City, UT, 84120) 11 am – 1 pm. Following the open house an internment at Valley View Cemetery in their Memorial Garden (4335 W 4100 S West Valley City, UT 84120) will be held at 1:30 pm. All are welcome to attend.
