Peter H. Condas passed away at his home the morning of January 2, 2024. He was born to Harry and Rena Condas in May of 1958. He graduated from Granger High School in 1976, where he held the weightlifting record in his division. He attended the University of Utah and received his welding license from Salt Lake Community College. He worked for a time at EIMCO, where he was a welder. He married Glafira Duran, the best decision of his life, on June 10, 1978 at Prophet Elias Greek Orthodox Church. After their marriage, Pete and Glafira moved to Biloxi, Mississippi where he served in the Armed Forces. After his service to our country, he and Glafira returned to the Salt Lake Valley where they started their successful business, High Value, from almost nothing, from the ground up. In addition to being a successful businessman, Pete was an equally successful family man. He always spoke highly of his children and his grandchildren. He enjoyed vacationing with his children and grandchildren to Disneyland, Hawaii, and various other destinations. As a businessman, Pete was tenacious, energetic, and hardworking, but as a friend he was kind-hearted, jovial, and amenable. He always had a positive attitude toward people. His laugh was contagious and he was always able to laugh at himself.
He is survived by his wife Glafira of 45 years, and his children: Anthony (Jessica) Condas, Rossanne (Jason) Lundberg. His grandchildren: Kalia and Myles Condas, Gabby and Luke Lundberg. He is also survived by his sister Chrissy (Charlie) Paulos, a brother Ted Condas, along with numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. The family is deeply grateful for the care he received from his mother-in-law, Concha Shigihara.
Private family services were held.
May his memory be eternal.
