Rebecca Marie Martinez

Rebecca Marie Martinez, 38, an Operations Engineer Tech at Usana Health Sciences, passed away November 06, 2021, in the Salt Lake area. Rebecca was born November 1, 1983 in Orange, CA to Debbie Flores (mother) and Robert Flores (father). Although she lived in many different cities in her early childhood, Rebecca primarily grew up in Corona, CA.

In 2002, she gave birth to her first child (son) Anthony Eric Castro. In 2008, she gave birth to her second child (daughter) Carissa Lynn Flores. Rebecca faced many obstacles and difficult times in Southern California, but Rebecca was a resilient woman, and persevered. In 2011, Rebecca moved to Tooele, UT. Soon after moving to Utah, and making a new life for herself, she met her wife and best friend Cecilia Martinez. Rebecca and Cecilia were married in July 9, 2014, in Riverside, CA.

Rebecca was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, aunt, sister and friend. Rebecca was always staying active, whether taking her children, nieces and nephews out for the day; forcing her family on hikes and other outdoor activities; or hosting a party, she was always on the go. She loved taking her nieces and nephews out and making sure everyone was together for every occasion. Rebecca touched everyone she met by her amazing sense of humor, and larger than life personality.

Rebecca is survived by her wife Cecilia, her son Anthony, her daughter Carissa, mother Debbie Flores, father Robert Flores, plus dozens of her beloved nieces and nephews.

To honor her life, services will be Saturday November 13, 2021 at 11:00 am at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley, Utah, followed by a graveside at 12:00 pm.
