Gloria, I just saw the obituary for Richard. I am so sorry for your loss. I loved being the medical assistant at the doctor's office where you came. I loved seeing you and Richard the 17 years that I worked with Dr. Westermann. I loved hearing about your hot rods and all the trips you took. Someday we will see each other again. I truly loved you both and I have missed seeing you. My love to you.

Both my wife and I enjoyed spending time with Richard and Gloria when on our work break at the Magna Bishop's Storehouse.
Richard was always extending an invitation to anyone who entered the break room to come sit with him and Gloria and share some food and conversation.
Their combined hospitality made volunteering at the storehouse a more rewarding experience.

Gloria, so shocked and saddened by your loss of the one who made you smile. I'm sure you knew, Richard and I attended the same grade school for the last two years at Sumner Elementary. We shared many times of the people we knew there. Forever linked with our 40+ years of working together, what a ride! Volumes could be written about it. Wished I could be there tonight, but I'm afraid there would be too many people there that I would want to hug, afraid of social distancing breaking down. :) Take care, prayerfully hoping you will find some peace and comfort

I have so many fun memories with my Grandpa, from going on random drives with him and Grandma to find an Ice cream place they never tried before, to car shows, to just sitting down and visiting. Times when he would make me laugh so hard, just being his fun-loving self. Grandma and Grandpa not only always show up in time of importance, but they also just show up to show up, and that is something that I will cherish for the rest of my life. How lucky I am to have the best (and good looking) Grandparents. We love you Grandpa!

I just love the wonderful Jaeger family. We spent our early years living in their back apartment and then down the road from them. Richard was a few years older so we didn't see him as much. My heart goes out to his wife and family and his wonderful siblings we love. Bless all of you in this time of sorrow.

I have many fond memories of cousin Richard. The best one? His blue 1965 Pontiac GTO with the 389 cubic inch "Tri-Power" V8. One time we were all hanging out at grandmas. You remember the place. 1046 West Center Street in Provo. Richard had just finished racing his "Goat" somewhere in Utah county. He came back to grannies in the GTO. The car was still race ready. Open exhaust headers, racing slicks. Not quite street legal. 😁
Richard gave a few of us the ride of our lives in that car! There were 5 of us. I think Brent was in the front seat and 3 of us were in the back. Can't remember who. Anyway, he showed us what that car could do! I could feel the roar of the exhaust headers under my feet as he reved up that big V8 and dumped the clutch. The sound was insane! Can you say "loud"? He slammed through all four gears, like a madman, yet had total control of that wild beast. We were all blown away how that machine pinned us into the seat. It was more fun than any ride at Lagoon! 😊

So many special memories - Wow,! There are a few that deserve to be shared. Driving to Moab in our show cars, its snowing and all of a sudden Dick wasn’t behind us . I turned around drove back finding them on the side of the road. Turned out he couldn’t see the road. No fenders tends to cause issues on wet and snowy road conditions. It looked like Dick had sprinklers shooting a good 4 plus feet straight up off his back tires, and falling on his windshield. We did make it up the summit safely, just a bit slower than planned. Another smile, Dick was taking a little nap in his car during a show. A crafty sign was designed and placed on his lap during his snooze. Well Dick drew a very large crowd, which we never dreamed he would get the attention he did. Maybe it was the sign? “Viagra didn’t work for me” that was drawing the crowd... we laughed so hard, you would have thought we were giving his car away or something by the crowd. And lastly It is Halloween - Burgerstop, Layton. I wore a sun costume and was having fun walking around and people trying to figure out who it was. Part way through the show I switched with Gloria and she was now in the sun costume. No-one knew knew about the switch. I hide behind a car watching. Dick was talking with Steve and Nikki - Gloria walked up and grabbed Dick, well you may be able to imagine the look on their faces! it was priceless, as they thought it was me. We laughed so hard when Gloria reveled it was her. These are just a few of our many memories from big hunks, wanted signs, sheets, american tributes, Route 66, Yellowstone, Moab, sun glasses, coupons, nail polish, Mary Kay and so many more. We have been so blessed to have Dick and Gloria in our lives. Thank you for the memories, We will cherish them always. Til we cruise together again, you will be missed.
