Sally Gene Paxton-Reed

Sally was born May 5th, 1948 in Canton, Ohio to Martha Jane Paxton and Dale Raymond Paxton.

Sally was a kind and gentle mom, grandma, and great-grandma. She enjoyed many handicrafts which include: knitting, crocheting, tatting and cross-stitch. Sally once crocheted an afghan then cross-stitched on top of it. This beautiful blanket was entered into the County and State Fairs and it won 1st place as well as Best of Show. But Sally’s proudest accomplishment was all the work she put into our family genealogy. She taught her girls the love of video gaming and good old fashioned card games and board games as competitive sports.

She loved family above all. Her grandkids are as follows (listed under their mother with spouse):

Susan Gilliame – Ashley Gilliame, Katie Gilliame and Picabo Cardenas, her husband Derek Cardenas and their son Mason Cardenas. Carrie and Rodrigo Martinez – Madison Flores, Erikson Flores, Anthony Martinez, Dylan Martinez and Levi Martinez, Julie and Paul Washburn – Erianna Washburn and Micah Washburn.

Sally is survived by her children Cheri Lee Reed, Susan Marie Gilliame, Carrie Beth Reed-Martinez and Julie Anne Washburn and her sibling Jan O’Reilly. She had 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her parents Dale Raymond and Martha Jane Paxton, and her 2 sisters Karen Tift and Lisa Myers.

Interment services will be held on May 4th, 2018 at 11:00 am at Valley View Memorial Park 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah. A viewing will take place from 10:00 – 10:30 prior to interment.
